It is a tropical herb grown for its stalks and leaves which have an aromatic lemon flavor. It contains citronellol. The plant has long linear leaves that reach 90 cm to 2 m long, with rough and sharp edges, a rather pale bluish -green. There are about fifty varieties of lemon grass. This plant was exclusively used in perfumery during the Renaissance.

It is the mixture taken to the appropriate consistency of sugars, pulp and/or fruit purees, concentrated or not, and of any other ingredient such as for example concentrated fruit juice, milk, flavouring (natural or artificual)... This product may be slightly concentrated.
